After 25 years of experience with NBTel, Don Shaddick established our innovative business in 1995. In the early years, ShadComm provided a revolutionary CCTV service to the pulp and paper industry that minimized machine down time, which led to maximized customer profits.
Successfully operating for more than 20 years, ShadComm has evolved into one of the premier solution providers for systems integration, SCADA, PLC programming and control panel building in Atlantic Canada. Don Shaddick, CET
Don founded ShadComm in 1995 after working for 25 years at NBTel in the communications, data and radio sector. He holds a diploma in industrial electronics engineering technology from NBCC. He grew ShadComm from a local owner-operator business model into a leading service provider for industrial control and automation in Atlantic Canada.
James Dickie, PTech
Owner/President
James graduated from NBCC (Saint John campus) in 2007 from the industrial controls program. He originally began working at ShadComm as a high school summer student. He’s looks after handling all RFQs, as well as the lead Programmer
Jason Sproul
Jason graduated from Holland College (Prince Edward Island) in 2001 and contributes years of experience in the electrical, mechanical and home automation and security fields. He’s an essential asset to ShadComm because of his adaptability and all around willingness to learn and excel at a new skill set, including his ability to troubleshoot any and all technical problems.
Mike Lanteign, PTech
Mike graduated from NBCC (Saint John campus) in 2002 from the industrial controls program. He is a construction electrician with many years of experience in the industrial control and automation industry. Mike takes pride in ensuring that our CSA- approved panels meet and exceed all customer expectations. Mike is known for his meticulous work.
Marcy Rushton
Marcy is an experienced administrator. Her primary role includes payroll, office administration, payables, receivables and purchasing.
Brandon Marshall
Brandon graduated from NBCC (Miramichi campus) in 2017 from the electrical construction program. Brandon is a first year electrical apprentice with experience in residential, commercial and industrial environments. He also is experienced in data communications and security fields. His work ethic, willingness to learn and his adaptability is what makes him a valuable asset to ShadComm.
